Our vision is that of a dynamic and vibrant, year-round village, where economic, real estate, and social development align with local values, while making it more attractive and preserving its authenticity and environment.

The mission of Vie North Hatley is to design and support development initiatives in collaboration with residents, organizations, and local entrepreneurs, making social acceptability a core guiding principle.
Firmly convinced that the most meaningful projects emerge from dialogue and co-development, we place community needs at the forefront and work in partnership to deliver transformative projects in the years ahead.
About Us
Beyond our role in the development and revitalization of North Hatley, we also contribute to regional development, notably through the acquisition of the Wilvaken summer camp in Magog in 2025. This initiative helps ensure long-term sustainability of key infrastructure and supports the vitality of the broader region.
Our commitment is further reflected in our active participation in regional bodies dedicated to lake health management and protection, underscoring our strong commitment to environmental stewardship.

Who created Vie North Hatley?
Vie North Hatley was created by people deeply attached to North Hatley and concerned about the vitality of the village heart. Dominique Voyer, who is its executive director, as well as David Tunnell and Susan Wells Tunnell, both residents of North Hatley.
Why was Vie North Hatley created?
We identified a need for a more structured approach to development, one that places citizens at the heart of decision-making and promotes projects that are harmonious, sustainable, and aligned with the community’s identity.
What is your vision for the development of North Hatley?
Our vision is to help foster a vibrant, year-round village, where economic, real estate, and social development respect the municipality’s history, unique character, and natural environment. We believe that successful development is rooted first and foremost in a place’s identity.
What sets Vie North Hatley apart from other developers?
Social acceptability guides every step of our initiatives. We believe the most meaningful projects emerge through dialogue and co-development, by consulting and working in partnership with residents, organizations, and local entrepreneurs before any project is finalized.
What do co-development and dialogue with the community mean to you?
They take many forms, including community meetings, discussions with local stakeholders, targeted consultations, and close collaboration with regional entrepreneurs. The goal is to develop projects that reflect community needs, while drawing on entrepreneurs’ expertise to generate lasting economic benefits for the local economy.
How will you identify the community’s priorities?
We plan to meet with citizens, organizations, and economic stakeholders and listen to their concerns and ideas. This structured listening process will help identify shared priorities and guide our projects accordingly.
How can development move forward while respecting the unique character of North Hatley’s village core?
We believe development and preservation can go hand-in-hand by building on the Town’s urban planning framework. A harmonious development considers heritage, the landscape, the environment, and residents’ quality of life—an approach we prioritize in our work.
You have limited experience as a newly formed group. How can your credibility be ensured?
We genuinely seek to create projects that benefit both the local residents and visitors. With deep roots in North Hatley, we are committed to development that remains in harmony with the village’s distinctive character.
